The Devil in The Disco

The film followsBernard Fevre, who had previously resigned himself to believing his seminal work would remain unnoticed, never receiving recognition for his early contributions to the genre. Thirty years after its release and on the eve of his retirement, one of the Rephlex DJs discovered his groundbreaking limited-release album, ‘The Black Devil Disco Club’, while rifling through a record store bargain bin. He began playing it out to an enthusiastic response.

Instead of the retirement plans to go fishing on the Loire, Bernard had the chance to start living the life he had dreamt of in his 20s, by playing to crowds around the world, headlining festivals, negotiating record deals and finally receiving recognition for his hard work.
